      Yes. We use advanced encryption and monitoring technology to ensure your information stays safe and secure. And to keep your personal information confidential we have strict policies and procedures in place. Only you have access to your accounts with your username and password. We strongly suggest you do not share your username, password, PIN or account number with anyone. U.S. Bank will never request this type of information via email.

      Our Online Risk-Free Guarantee is another way we protect our customers from fraud loss. Our online banking is so secure that we'll cover any losses due to unauthorized use of your account, provided you notify us in a timely fashion when you notice any suspicious activity.

      Security alerts are emails automatically sent to your primary email address when certain events occur, such as changes to your mailing address or username. They do not reference a specific customer's name or account number. Receiving prompt alerts about these account changes can help you detect and stop potential fraud.

      To automatically receive security alerts when certain events occur, such as changes to your mailing address or username, please do one of the following:

      • Provide or update your primary email address within online banking by selecting the Your profile link
      • Call 800-USBANKS (872-2657)
      • Visit a U.S. Bank branch

      Some ways to increase your security are:

      • Make your password alphanumeric, change it periodically and keep it confidential.
      • Install antivirus and firewall software on your computer.
      • Never share any personal information, especially Social Security numbers, account numbers, or username and password information via email.

      Contact the U.S. Bank Fraud Liaison Center at 877-595-6256 if you suspect fraud has occurred on your account    

      Fraudulent "phishing" emails will tell you that you must use a link provided to verify or change your account in some way. U.S. Bank will never ask you to do this via email and will never ask for personal account information via email.
